The YEETI Community Development Worker is available to provide support for workers who are developing applications, and to give feedback on drafts of applications before their final submission.

YEETI program updates:
The YEETI program is now situated at 19 King St, Melbourne and is co-located with the Family Reconciliation and Mediation Program (FRMP). Both programs are now under the management of Mandy Baxter (mbaxter@mcm.org.au - 8625 4476).
The target of the YEETI was to administer just under 2 million dollars in funding for employment, education and training initiatives to 165 young people in the youth housing sector. This target has been exceeded with over 1000 young people being funded to engage or sustain engagement with employment, education or training.
Applications Forms & Guidelines

No application information is available as the final funding round has now closed.
YEETI funding is available to purchase activities, equipment and provide subsidies that directly benefit a young person to effectively access: • Employment • Education • Training
This funding is designed to assist young people to develop and realise their own educational, employment or training goals. Each application is capped at $2000.00, with caps applying to individual items. Please see "YEETI Funding Caps" for further information.
The YEETI Panel (consisting of representatives from Department of Human Services, Council to Homeless Persons, Local Learning and Employment Networks, Melbourne Citymission and others to be confirmed) meets 2 weeks after the closing date of the funding round. The YEETI Panel assess the applications. Beginning on the monday following this meeting the YEETI Administrator contacts all applicatns to inform them of the decision.

YEETI CLOSED
Due to the YEETI program being defunded this website and the program will will cease to operate as of the 31st of December 2007.
There will be some funding available to for education, employment and training needs through regional Creating Connections Youth Hubs (the Youth Homelessness Action Plan Stage 2). Contact your regional providers for further information.
The Family Reconciliation Mediation Program (FRMP) has been refunded until June 2009. www.frmp.org.au

We also thank the young people who have accessed YEETI, their stories certainly paint a picture of empowerment, inclusion and connectedness.

YEETI Exchange - Youth Homelessness Support tool
At the "YEETI Exchange - Your Clients, Their Rights. Welfare to Work, what you need to know" held on the 27th of June Colleen Cartwright (Manager - Employment, Education, Training Support Unit at Melbourne Citymission) and Jodi Brown (Team Leader at Western Region Accommodation Program) presented an advocacy and support tool designed to support young people when there circumstances change and they interact with Centrelink and when they attend a Job Capacity Assessment.
